In Ontario’s 2024 budget, the Government requested that Ontario’s Financial Services Regulator, FSRA, conduct a review of the health service provider guidelines and frameworks. Consultations are open until November 29, 2024, and FSRA is accepting submissions on three (3) papers:

Health Service Provider Framework Review

Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) System Review

Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) Review

We encourage members, and all physiotherapists, to make submissions directly to FSRA on the issues that are most relevant to you. Please review the documents and questions at the links above. The information is extensive, so please keep in mind that you can identify the couple issues or questions that are most important to you.

OPA is working on a response to these consultations with a focus on key priorities including reducing red tape, advocating for fair compensation, and reducing redundancy in regulation. We will publish our submission with members and on our website.
