WHY AUTO INSURANCE ADVOCACY MATTERS

The future of physiotherapy in the auto sector.

OPA’s dedicated advocacy with major stakeholders such as the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), the Ministry of Finance, and the Coalition of Health Professional Associations in Automobile Insurance (The Coalition) is working toward a future auto sector in which claimants have timely and equitable access to high-quality physiotherapist services. This will be a system where physiotherapists are empowered and supported by streamlined processes that remove barriers to care.

  • Licensing and oversight will be simplified, allowing physiotherapists to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.
  • Administrative burdens will be minimized, funding will be appropriate to the care that is delivered, ensuring physiotherapists are properly compensated for their expertise.
  • With fewer obstacles to receiving payment, physiotherapists will be able to spend more time with their clients, and claimants will enjoy better care outcomes, ultimately leading to improved recovery and well-being. This is the auto sector that OPA is working toward— a more efficient, supportive, and equitable system for both physiotherapists and the clients they serve.
