Brief Description

McMaster University - OMPT

This Masters of Science with PhD transition option develops a on-line/on site specialization standard in Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal-Manipulative Physical Therapy (OMPT) clinical practice through

  • 3 required Foundation courses (Evidence-based Practice, Clinical Reasoning, and Clinical Measurement),
  • 2 Clinical Specialty courses (OMPT, Select Topics in Rehab Science) and
  • 1 Research Project

over 2-3 year timeline.


The objective is to advance scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning application, clinical and research skills development with a appreciation of the concepts of clinical measurement, and integrated evidence-based practice in OMPT practice.
