Webinar: Effective Virtual Care
Presented by the Northern Ontario District of OPA
With Jocelyne Murdoch, OT Reg. (Ont.), ACPAC
Jocelyne is an import who moved to Sudbury from Kingston after graduating from Queen’s University’s Occupational Therapy Program. After trying different areas of practice (mental health, private practice and home care), she finally found her niche in arthritis care at The Arthritis Society in 2002 and completed the Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care program at the University of Toronto, the first graduating class of its kind. She now works as an advanced practice occupational therapist at The Arthritis Society and has been using telemedicine since 2008 to expand arthritis services in northeastern Ontario.
A lover of all things arthritis and technical, Jocelyne uses telemedicine on a daily basis to work with multiple rheumatologists, sees patients with arthritis across the northeast, and teaches both health providers and people with arthritis using telemedicine. She won the Arthritis Health Professionals Association’s inaugural Clinical Innovation award for her use of telemedicine to provide arthritis care. Jocelyne also teaches in Collège Boréal’s Occupational therapy and physiotherapy assistant program.
