REQUEST FOR SERVICES

Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists Third-Party Contractors Required for the Clinical Expert Line

About the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)

We’re here to help. When an injury or illness happens on the job, we move quickly to provide wage-loss benefits, medical coverage and support to help people get back to work. Funded by businesses, we also provide no-fault collective liability insurance and access to industry specific health and safety information. We are one of the largest insurance organizations in North America covering over five million people in more than 300,000 workplaces across Ontario. For more information, visit www.wsib.ca.

The Clinical Expert Program

The Clinical Expert Line was first launched in 2011. Our team of 10 Clinical Experts offer peer-to-peer support to community health care providers that are delivering care to people with work-related musculoskeletal and/or mild traumatic brain injuries through WSIB’s Programs of Care.

Health care providers may call the WSIB’s Clinical Expert Line for collaborative, peer-to-peer, clinical discussions that may offer care options, provide support, discuss recommendations that focus on the person’s recovery and return to work, and/or outline the best course of action to support the recommendations.

We need your help!

As we continue to strive to offer our services in a manner that is better, easier, and faster to serve people with injuries and our community health care partners, we are looking to expand our team.

We are looking to add five contracted Clinical Experts to our roster, including a combination of chiropractors, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Purpose of this Request for Services (RFS)

The successful contractors will receive a service agreement as a third-party provider that will run for a period of two years, starting April 4, 2025, with an option to extend one additional year plus up to six months on a month-to-month basis.

Please note this will be a third-party contracted opportunity and Clinical Experts will not be considered employees of the WSIB.

  • Be chiropractors, occupational therapists, or physiotherapists in good standing with their respective colleges.
  • Have at least three years of experience in direct patient care in a community setting within the last five years; specifically, in delivering care for people with musculoskeletal and mild traumatic brain injuries.
