Job Description

At Pulse Physio & Performance, we strive to be ahead of the curve. Our mission is to bridge the gap between rehab and performance by providing individualized care plans, focused on client-specific activity goals.

Cross-Fitter? Toe-walking toddler? Varsity student-athlete? Postpartum mother getting back to the gym? Senior wanting to cross-county ski again after knee replacement? We have the staff, equipment, space, knowledge and mindset to help all of these individuals.

With two locations in Peterborough, Ontario, our clinic aesthetic is built to promote physical fitness. Having space to move has been our central focus when creating our brick and mortar locations. We believe that the process of rehab and performance can be optimized when we are able to work collaboratively with individuals in our fully-equipped gym spaces.

We offer one-on-one appointments with one-hour initial assessments and 30-minute follow-up sessions. This schedule ensures that each client  receives focused, individualized care. Our team is dynamic, supportive and highly collaborative. We prioritize team building, with frequent social events outside the workplace that foster a fun and positive culture at Pulse.

We are seeking a motivated physiotherapist to join our growing team. Someone who is looking to break the typical mold of physiotherapy in Canada and help us stay on the leading edge of rehab and performance.

This is a full-time physiotherapist posting at our Chemong Road location. Candidates with experience in pelvic health will be considered an asset, as this position was previously 50% pelvic and 50% orthopaedic caseload. Saying that, our orthopaedic caseload is growing so pelvic health experience is not required to apply for this posting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one, evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and treatments.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on client goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records (we use Jane).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the best available research.
  • Participate in a fun, team-oriented culture with regular social events.

Qualifications:

  • Current physiotherapy license and registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Interest in pelvic health is an asset, but not required to apply.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply and grow your skills at Pulse!

Why choose Pulse?

  • Work-life balance: no weekend shifts, flexible hours available.
  • Peterborough: close enough to get into the big city for a game or show and be back to the lake that night.
  • Team-based environment: work alongside a friendly, collaborative, and fun group of professionals.
  • Mentorship: we prioritize professional development and offer weekly one-hour mentorship opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Compensation: competitive fee-split with a personal health spending account and annual professional development funds.
  • Up-to-date: we’re on the cutting edge of physio and performance, offering online booking, virtual care and collaborative rehabilitation.

If you are as passionate about helping people as we are, we would love to hear from you! Apply today to join the Pulse Chemong team in Peterborough, the gateway to cottage country and the beautiful Kawartha Lakes.
