We are beyond saddened by the horrific hate crime and Islamophobia that has taken a colleague physiotherapist Syed Salman Afzaal and family members in London, Ontario. OPA stands with the Muslim community in this difficult time and condemns hate crimes, racism and Islamophobia – they have no place in our communities or anywhere and we reaffirm our commitment to work to eradicate them. We mourn the loss of the four victims and keep in our thoughts the young surviving victim who remains in the hospital as he recovers and grieves.
