Job Position Title: Physiotherapist

Division: Résidence Saint- Louis and Bruyère Village (Orleans)

Job Status: Part-Time (Flexible)

Job Reports To: Director of Operations

Salary: $42.33 - $57.51 ($82,543 - 112,138) 

SUMMARY:

Résidence Saint- Louis and Bruyère Village is looking for a part-time physiotherapist to join its team of PT and PTAs in the provision of Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and care to clients in a long-term care, and seniors independent/assisted living setting. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of our team you will be responsible for:

  • Initiating and managing the assessment and treatment for restoring movement/function, orthopaedic conditions and pain management;
  • Providing physiotherapy to outpatient residents in long-term care, and independent/assisted living setting.
  • Developing a personalized treatment program that includes but is not limited to exercise, manual therapy and home exercise program.
  • Prescribing and educating clients utilization of mobility aids, assistive devices and other equipment;
  • Overseeing Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy;
  • Registration with College of Physiotherapy of Ontario;
  • Experience with supervision of support staff;
  • Experience in working with the geriatric population and chronic diseases;
  • CPR certification;
  • ADP certified, or willingness to become certified considered an asset;
  • Strong physical assessment & treatment planning skills;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care;
  • 2-3 years clinical practice experience preferred;
  • Bilingual (French and English).
