Job Description

Situated in the beautiful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Great North Physiotherapy is a leading physiotherapy clinic dedicated to providing our community with top-quality care and rehabilitation services.

We are seeking a part-time physiotherapist to join our specialized team. The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven, registered physiotherapist who will support our clients and athletes in maintaining healthy, active lifestyles.

We believe in providing the highest level of care, focusing on quality over quantity. Our assessments are an hour in length with follow-up sessions of 30 minutes (no double bookings). All sessions are provided in a one-on-one format in a private treatment room.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited university physiotherapy program

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (in good standing)
  • Indemnity/professional insurance
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients, team members, referring physicians, healthcare professionals, coaches and trainers
  • Basic administrative and software skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Gmail, GSuite, Jane App)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to operate independently and seek initiative to support clinical goals during quiet periods

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' and athletes' injuries and conditions and establish treatment goals based on diagnoses
  • Effectively evaluate said treatment plans and implement modifications as required
  • Educate clients and athletes on injury prevention strategies and techniques for optimal performance
  • Implement a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
  • Efficiently maintain clinical and statistical records as per College requirements
  • Participate in writing blog posts and collaborating on social media concepts for the clinic website and social media channels
  • Cashing out and booking clients using the Jane App POS and booking system (occasional)

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

  • Previous experience working as a physiotherapist or sports physiotherapist in a clinical setting
  • Interest in mentorship opportunities
  • Specialization(s) in sports physiotherapy, concussion management, vestibular therapy, acupuncture, dry needling and/or bracing
  • A strong drive to pursue professional development opportunities and advance knowledge in the field of physiotherapy
  • Interest in volunteering for local athletic events to support the community at large
