About Pleasance Physiotherapy

Pleasance Physiotherapy is a FCAMPT owned clinic located in growing New Tecumseth. We focus on high quality personalized physiotherapy services (no cookie cutter approaches here) tailored to the unique needs of each client with an emphasis on manual therapy, dry needling and clinical Pilates. Other services offered include pre and post operative care, sports injury management, and vestibular therapy.

The 1500 square foot clinic boasts 5 treatment rooms and a gym complete with exercise equipment and a Pilates reformer, with space for small group classes. Sessions are 1:1 in private treatments rooms with 30 min treatments and 1 hour assessments. We use Jane for easy online booking, charting and billing, and access to your schedule remotely. Admin services assist with booking, direct insurance billing and payments.

About the Physiotherapist Position

This position will start with part-time hours, with potential to grow to full-time hours and caseload.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assessment and treatment of physiotherapy clients (primarily orthopaedic caseload), including all necessary documentation, and communication with other healthcare providers involved in their care as needed. There are maximum 2 clients seen per hour, for an easy to manage caseload.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Resident Physiotherapist are welcome to apply

Assets:

• Excellent communication skills
• Desire for collaborative care
• An interest in manual therapy and hands-on skill development
• An interest in dry needling
• Extra certifications or interest in niche practice areas (ie. pelvic floor physio, golf training, running injury management)
• Familiarity with Jane app

About New Tecumseth

New Tecumseth is a township of 3 small towns (Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham) located north of Toronto in Simcoe County. With quick Hwy 400 access, it's easy to get to Barrie or the GTA. The area has a vibrant mix of urban areas, surrounded by rural farm fields, allowing for convenience of local services with the quaintness and community feel of a small town.

The clinic is currently located in Tottenham, New Tecumseth and will be expanding to a larger space in Beeton, (just a few minutes away) in June 2024! We are so excited for the growth of the clinic and the ability to offer quality physiotherapy services to our small town.
