- This workshop is of interest to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Manual Lymphatic Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists, Primary Care Providers, Exercise Trainers, Physiatrists, Oncologists, Palliative Care Team members and Learners.
The Canadian Cancer Rehabilitation and Education Institute (CCREI) is partnering with the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation (JCC), The Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and the Hamilton District of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association to offer this one-day breast cancer rehabilitation workshop. The workshop will provide health professionals with a multi-disciplinary immersion into the latest developments in breast cancer treatment and rehabilitation. Content will focus on evidence-informed, comprehensive strategies to help minimize side effects and restore function.
Proceeds from the workshop will be used to support cancer survivors in financial need, so that they may participate in the CanWell Program. CanWell is an award-winning, evidence informed community-based exercise program for people with cancer.
Hosted by CCREI, an authoritative source of information. CCREI aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of health professionals working with people living with cancer. Presenters include leading experts from the JCC and Hamilton Health Sciences.
