Wave 3 and Redeployment of Physiotherapists Webinar

In response to wave 3 of the pandemic, the Ontario Government issued two temporary emergency orders under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA) that enabled the redeployment of health care professionals and other workers currently working in Ontario Health and Home and Community Care Support Services organizations to hospitals. Physiotherapists are essential to the health care system and the pandemic response and as a result, they have been redeployment to many different roles, but large the majority of redeployment of the profession has occurred between ambulatory care settings into acute care hospitals from medial units to ICUs.
In this webinar, physiotherapists and physiotherapist assistants will have the opportunity to hear about the experiences from PTs who have been redeployed during the current wave and in previous waves. Participants will hear insights on the transition, what supported and enabled the transition, the challenges and tips to address them and the unintended opportunities and learnings from the experience.
